Garuda Indonesia passengers will now be presented with the mesmerizing beauty of West Nusa Tenggara’s nature and culture on Garuda’s inflight entertainmentvideo, launched on 19 November 2014. This forms part of the promotionalcampaign by the Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD) of West Nusa Tenggara Province in close cooperation with Garuda Indonesia Airline to promote the many attractions around the islands of Lombok and Sumbawa.
Garuda’s Director of Services, Faik Fahmi explained that the launch of the promotional video on board flights is a concrete form of Garuda Indonesia’ssupport and commitment to the development of tourism in Indonesia and to increase tourist visits to the many and varied destinations across the archipelago.
Attended by the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Muhammad Zainul Majdi , the launch of West Nusa Tenggara Tourist Destinations video took place on flight GA-430 flying Jakarta–Lombok. The promotional video will be played on screens ofall seats, both in Economy and Business, 15 minutes before the plane lands at its destination airport.
On his side, Taufan Rahmadi, Chairman of West Nusa Tenggara’s Regional Tourism Promotion Board, commented that West Nusa Tenggara has made history since it is the first and only province in Indonesia that has been given the opportunity to present a tourism promotional video to be shown on Garuda Indonesia’s in-flight entertainment.
“Through this effort, we hope that the arrival of national and international tourists to Lombok, Sumbawa, and West Nusa Tenggara in general will increase significantly, and that this can become the pride of West Nusa Tenggara’s people” added Taufan Rahmadi.

West Nusa Tenggara is easily accessible by land, sea, and air transportation, especially on Garuda’s regular flights to the Lombok International Airport. Besides connecting West Nusa Tenggara with Bali and Jakarta, Garuda also operates flights between Lombok and Surabaya, and Makassar.
