First organized in 1985 by the Ipoh chapter of the Rotary Club, the Ipoh International Run has grown exponentially in appeal ever since. Over 17,000 participants are expected to take on the half-marathon race, hailing from as far afield as Kenya and Japan to compete for over MYR 100,000 worth in cash prizes.

While most participants hail from within Malaysia, international competitors are also welcome to join! And join they do, attracted by the affordable entrance fee and the significant prize money.

Runners can choose to participate in one of 12 categories, ranging from Junior Men and Women to an Open Category, with distances ranging from 5k to 21k. Will you be the next runner to cross the Ipoh finish line?
