As an Archipelagic country, Indonesia is blessed with swathes of spectacular beaches, islands and bays. Acknowledging Indonesia’s abundance of coastal wonders, the largest global travel website, TripAdvisor recently picked its favorite Top 10 Best Beaches in Indonesia through its Travelers’ Choice Awards2015.
Nusa Dua Beach, on the island of Bali was given top rank on the list, described by TripAdvisor as “Beautiful, clean sandy beach. Calm waters, perfect for families and for relaxing”. Still on Bali, Padang-padang Beach grabbed second place, while the secluded Balangan Beach took 3rd. spot, The uniquely romantic Pink Beach on Komodo Island made it to the list and ranked 8th.
“This is the perfect time to publish the best beaches in the world based on reviews and opinions of TripAdisor’s vast communities” said Chief Marketing Officer of TripAdvisor, Barbara Messing in its official press release. Aside from Indonesia, TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards also announced the best beaches in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, South America, UK, USA, and South Pacific.
“Indonesia has long been known to have some of the best beach destinations in the world. It is an honor for us that our beaches received high acknowledgments from TripAdvisor traveler’s community” said Director General of Tourism Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism, Esthy Reko Astuty to detik.com.
