Spędziliśmy 2 godziny na łódce, podziwiając jeden z najpiękniejszych zachodów słońca podczas naszej podróży. Spokojna rzeka, piękne widoki i totalny relaks.

My płaciliśmy 20$ za osobę, a w pakiecie dostaliśmy świeży sok oraz smażone przekąski. Na pokładzie był też bar, więc można było zamówić coś mocniejszego lub jedzenie🍹

Zdecydowanie jedna z tych atrakcji, które naprawdę warto zrobić będąc w Luang Prabang!

We spent 2 hours on the boat, enjoying one of the most beautiful sunsets of our trip. Calm river, stunning views, and total relaxation.

We paid $20 per person and it included a fresh juice and fried snacks. There was also a bar on board, so you could order something stronger or some food 🍹

Definitely one of those experiences that is truly worth doing when visiting Luang Prabang!

The impressive Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen temple was originally established in 1610 during the Ayutthaya period, though at the time it was far more modest than the grand complex seen today. This royal temple is situated in Bangkok’s Bhasicharoen district, along a network of canals, including Khlong Phasi Charoen.

Although its full name is quite long, locals typically refer to it simply as Wat Paknam. In Thai, “Paknam” means “river mouth” or “waterfront,” reflecting the temple’s close connection to the surrounding waterways.
The temple rose to prominence under the guidance of the revered meditation master Luang Pu Sodh Candasaro, who served as abbot during the first half of the 20th century. While long well known among Thai devotees, it has increasingly attracted international visitors, especially after the construction of the striking Maharatchamongkhon stupa in 2012, admired for its magnificent dome and intricate interior.

More recently, Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen temple has gained widespread recognition thanks to its colossal Buddha statue. Standing 64 meters tall, the statue was constructed between 2017 and 2021 in front of the stupa. Now the tallest Buddha statue in Bangkok, it has become an iconic landmark, widely shared through photos and videos by visitors from around the world.

A unique way to discover Penang off the beaten track
It was an exceptional adventure. We cycled off the main roads and discovered breathtaking landscapes. The tour was very well organized, with perfectly timed breaks, and all participants had a similar level, so we never had to wait.

Our guide was excellent: she constantly ensured our safety and shared plenty of information about the animals, plants, and local communities. She had a great sense of humor and extensive knowledge, as did the driver who met us at each stop.

The entire excursion was conducted with the utmost respect for the local populations, which we truly appreciated.
